1. Skip the fabric softener for the microfiber cloths and make them a thousand times better

Fabric softener smells nice, but did you know it makes your microfibre cloths pick up less dust?

If you have already washed them with fabric softener, you can restore the cloths by washing them two or three times in the washing machine without fabric softener. A household tip that makes a big difference.

Leave it for a few hours, for example while you are at work. The lemon absorbs the bad odour.

4. Quickly remove pet hair from furniture with a kitchen cloth

Dog and cat owners inevitably get some hair on their furniture.

Instead of rolling with a lint roller that you have to replace all the time or dragging a pet hair remover that looks like a scraper, you can dampen a kitchen cloth, like Wettex, and drag it over the furniture.

It picks up hair really well and you avoid replacing the lint roller sheet all the time. This household tip is effective and saves money in the long run.

5. Remove pet hair from furniture using rubber gloves at full stretch

If you don’t want to use a wet cloth on your furniture as in the previous cleaning tip, there is another cleaning hack you can use. Rub a dry rubber glove over the surfaces. That usually takes care of the worst hair.

8. Iron away ugly rings from the table – the king of cleaning tips

Did you forget to use a coaster? Do you now have an ugly ring on your wooden table that won’t come off?

Here is a cleaning tip that really works and feels like pure magic:

Place a kitchen towel over the stain and iron over the stain! Keep moving the iron constantly.

9. Erase ugly marks on shoes with a rubber eraser

10. Speed up the tumble dryer when you’re in a hurry
